  Does the Bible state that Jesus died on a Friday?   The Bible does not explicitly name the day of the week on which Jesus died as "Friday."   Explain the Moedim.   The Moedim (מוֹעֲדִים) are the "appointed times" of Jehovah. They are not suggestions. They are not merely historical commemorations. They are divine appointments — fixed dates on which God meets with His people and fulfills His purposes. Leviticus 23 calls them "holy convocations" (miqra'ei qodesh — literally "rehearsals" or "dress rehearsals"). Each one is a prophetic rehearsal of a specific act of redemption.
